The Buffet at Monte Carlo

In Vegas, they say it’s all about the buffets. Indeed most casinos on the strip have one, and you can walk right in and eat without gambling. In fact many are comped right to your room. Such is the case with The Buffet at Monte Carlo. Most used by the guests of the hotel itself the place has a plethora of options it serves for lunch and dinner. Of course, this casino was created by MGM as more of a budget option for the strip. You’ll find the buffet matches. In quality, not price.

Dominic’s Italian Restaurant

Just south of Cleveland, in the quaint town of Medina, is Dominic’s Italian Restaurant. This pizzeria, bar and Italian food destination offers a pretty wide variety of foods to try, both for carry-out and delivery to the nearby streets. Everything from pizza and wings to pasta, and even fried chicken. For a relatively economical price, you can get a ton of food; enough to feed a family, actually, and so that’s the biggest draw.

Brixx Ice Co.

If you’re looking for some grub after watching a Dayton Dragon’s game downtown, look no further than Brixx Ice Co. Perched on the corner of right field, this downtown landmark is the place to go; its second-story view of the games is just about fantastic. But it’s the food that first brought me here, and the food that will keep bringing me back.

Elsa’s Mexican Restaurant

Another small tex-mex chain around the Dayton area, Elsa’s currently operates four locations around the town. It’s got a different feel to it than some other tex-mex places; it feels almost more like a family bar than the average place does. You walk in and are greeted immediately by a dominating drink bar, and on either side, seating, televisions, and an arcade. With a lunch buffet it’s undoubtedly a very way to sell a business. Unfortunately, for all the other things going on around the place, making good food seems to have gotten lost somewhere.
