Fairborn’s list of Chinese food places are pretty heavily focused on good delivery options, because they’re right in the middle of some of the biggest markets for good delivery food, being between Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s massive population of base employees and Wright State University’s large student body. And it’s good then, that the food here comes in huge portions. It’s a tad pricier than some of the other spots in terms of food, but it’s also a guaranteed two or three meals and there’s definitely something to be said for that.

The food is the classic menu of Chinese food, about a hundred other spots in town have just about the same things on their menus. So where do you begin with a delivery place? The old favorites and specials, of course. The sesame chicken happens to be one of my favorites, it’s breaded chicken cooked in a dark sauce, a little bit on the bland side, but textually the chicken is right on the money, with that crunch that is good for days, which is especially nice when this is a place that deliberately leaves you with leftovers.

I also liked the General Tso’s Chicken, the favorite of the masses, for this reason. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, though, which sort of makes the stuff a little harder to ear.

The service is decent, deliveries take a little longer, say 45 minutes or so is what I’ve usually heard. Either way, when the food comes it does come in good shape. The price points are a tad higher than normal, but I would argue that the food portions are too, and there’s something to be said for that.

Flying Dragon Chinese Restaurant is a safe option for easy Chinese food, especially if you aren’t feeling adventurous. When you order, order something you want to eat a few times, and make sure you order will in advance. Other than that, though, go for it.

  • The delivery times are longer than average in my experience, so order well in advance.
  • I like the sesame chicken here most of all. The General Tso’s is too sweet for me.
  • I also will say without a doubt the food here is two meals at least, so be ready for that.
